This series, a direct follow up of Welkom Marie is all about the chubby hands of a toddler exploring the world. The work follows the questions that come with watching a small child: who is she becoming, and what of myself and my (grand)mother do I see in her? It is a warm, colourful celebration of early childhood, and at the same time, a journey of self-discovery as a mother. How can I stay connected to myself, and, from that place, build a strong bond with my child.
